Ah. It never catches my attention though.
Typically, if I plan on watching a movie at a theater, it’s got to be something original. Sequels are kind of hit or miss depending on how good the first movie was. Like I definitely want to watch Fnaf 2 when it comes out.
Considering it’s just a live action remake of an original animated movie, I don’t think as many people were willing to spend money to watch it in theaters since it’s probably not much of a difference in terms of story. Plus, I heard that they took out a few of the original songs. I’m sure the visuals are great, but the content probably isn’t worth it.
Is this on Mufasa or Lion King
Mostly Lion King, but like I said usually on sequels or prequels as well, it’s kind of hit or miss. I would have liked to see something like that with the original animation style to relate to an original audience than just pushing the live action series.
I’m just sorta glad they kinda came up with something rather than the same gosh-darn thing over and over
I haven’t watched Mufasa, but I also haven’t heard much about it than the brief advertising over it, so I really don’t know what all to expect. I know a lot of people didn’t care much for the live action since it kind of cut out a lot of what made the original so good so I can assume that’s why it may not have gotten a lot of attention.
Something worse about the live action remakes is how off-topic they’re going from the original. Like for Pinocchio, they were supposed to teach him right from wrong, but the live action one sorta made him a good child throughout, like he literally used lying as an advantage
I will be honest; I would rather much see a prequel/sequel of something than simply a remake. Although Star Wars in Disney have kind of ruined this since they seem to be constantly making shows or content over “their” era of Star Wars, mostly being later and kind of setting up the Force Awakens. Not saying all of them are bad, some were very good, but a lot of fans want to actually see stuff over the Old Republic and the Ancient Sith Lords who could devour planets.
If they made a pre-prequel that dates way before the Clone Wars and Phanton Menace, they could probably catch a lot of attention. I don’t know if they have done any current show regarding or hinting at this, I haven’t kept up.
So, I’m not necessarily saying that Mufasa is bad or shouldn’t be watched, but I can definitely see how it may not have did so good following the Lion King remake.
I wouldn’t blame you for not liking the movie (I still hold a grudge against it). I feel though that’s also where The Acolyte failed since we thought it was old republic, but it only took place 100 years before (ran outta likes)
Daily critic:
I noticed lots of us are anime fans (this is me making assumptions), so I guess I’ll put this in here. It’s a collection of star wars shorts made by different companies in different countries (mostly japan) and it’s really good. It’s a good example of enjoying a series without knowing lore since all the episodes are non-canon.
Bet I can unofficially make one
I only seen a few episodes of it, but I definitely enjoyed it. I liked seeing what stories and characters people were able to come up with for the Star Wars universe.
In a way, I’m sort of glad it’s non-canon. Lots of the characters were a bit overpowered, and if they were canon, who knows what else disney would’ve done with those characters
Daily Critic:
This is one of the more underrated series from Star Wars. It isn’t the most well-known series, but it’s a good watch. Lego’s humor fitting with Star Wars is exactly what this series needed
Lego never ceases to keep me from enjoying them
Daily critic review:
This was a good watch. I liked the movie and the special effects, baby kong was FRICKIN CUTE, and pink godzilla looks awesome. Tbh, I thought the tomatometer was pretty generous. It could’ve been worse! I do want to point out that I couldn’t really take the new Mothra all that seriously for whatever reason other than it’s cry (i dunno why, it just sounds kinda funny to me). Aight enough of me blabbing what did y’all think?
I may or may not post a daily tomorrow since I gotta go somewhere
Daily critic: (it appears I’m able to do it)
More underrated lego shows! Ever since I’ve watched it as a little kid, I don’t remember a single person who watched this show. It was funny, some kinda corny but hey. What’s not to like? And it introduced a side of R2 that no one has ever seen:
Summary
R2 get God mode
Daily critic review: (can’t remember if I’ve already done this)
In my opinion, this movie was great. The visuals were spectacular, voice acting was great, it was PERFECT
