Better Update Handling

@grazer, @Samuel_Tomé_PixelPizza, I would like it if instead of using the latest version, you could set the public to view and older version, for like if your game is in unplayable maintenance or something.

Honestly, I think it’d just be nice to lock any edits you make to the game from being viewed by others, so that large games wouldn’t have the risk of being accidentally broken.

If I understand you correctly, you can already do this? Click the hamburger menu next to your game on your My Games page, click “Lock Version”, then select the version that you would like your game to stay at.

When you do this, the game will no longer get engine updates and will always run on the version you select.

I think they want a feature where you can lock the game at a specific saved point. So, any further updates, objects, etc, added to the game after the lock, won’t be visible to the public until it’s unlocked again. That way you can lock a game at a specific version of the game where it is fully playable, while you add changes that could potentially break the game or cause it to be unplayable during this period.

Although I don’t know if there are enough active players for this to be entirely effective, but I could definitely see this being useful.
