So I have a “help button” and it takes you to the help screen (level) but then I go back to the starting level the “buttons” are gone!

Make sure the priorities are correct.
What does that mean?
The game has priorities on what objects are seen above others, like layers. Make sure the buttons are really high in priority.
Display order, sorry. Not priority.
