Collision with wall but not self

How would I have an object collide with a wall but not itself?
So if I had 2 cars on a race track for example, how do I make it so they can’t touch each other, but can touch the walls?

I know you can do things with having the wall not solid and inverting the car X and Y velocity, but is there a more simple way?

This has been requested before, the best way to do this is to disable an object if it gets near the other, which doesn’t work well.

So you’re looking for layered collisions where objects can collide with some objects and not others.
