His name is Wakes because I like LoZ: The Wind Waker and Wind Waker is related to wind and wind/air/steam plays a heavy part in steampunk aesthetics

Did you know the removal of Will’s face was a tactic to relate to faceless people and as an attempt to stop ships and weird videos (if those ever actually happen) because it’d be too awkward with William’s face and the fact that he canonically can’t make any facial expressions

I like drawing faces but another reason why will doesn’t have a face (well technically he does the skin is just peeled off) is because I was having fun making those types of faces back then so I tried to make an actual character who was faceless
