The battle scene’s pretty good.
In the future, there should be Critical Hits and misses, so it makes the game more interesting. Other special effects, including energy draining, poisoning, freezing, stunning, shielding…

You can’t tag me? That’s weird. It looks alright so far. You said you won’t be able to do critical and status, is it because you don’t want to, or aren’t sure how?
random (1 to 100)- filter (more than 95 or something)pass- +(number) to the damage count, then after the attack add a -(same number)… I think thats how
I already know how, its just that seems like a cliche nowadays
if you add it though (along with missed attacks), it may make the outcome more unpredictable. Even when the player is about to die, he can still have hope that the next attack from the enemy might miss. Critical hits count also. If you’re hanging by a thread without the critical hit chance and the enemy has a bit of life left just enough to survive your strongest attack, the player might as well give up.
But it’s your choice, anyway. If you want to build a game completely based on the player having to think about strategies, it’s probably better not to.

I instead of animating, was going to type out a story through crystals eyes. I may still do that but if you want. I could send you a copy so you could restructure the entire thing… And then use that as your base for the… Animation? Idk what to call it. But honestly i was going to use my computer for typing the story out. I don’t know where i would go from there… But it would be fun

The battle system goes as fallows (just an idea, haven’t done logic):
You always go first- except for the fight with Mhx
You can click the fight button- if you do, crystal will swing her scythe at the target, doing 2 damage
If you click the magic button. A small amount of energy will be taken from crystals energy bar (it only shows in fights and refills after every fight) and you can do (randomly)
Ground jab- 2 dmg
Crystal arrow- 3 dmg
Crystal storm - 4 dmg

As for restructuring the story, Mhx and Crystal Aero find an ancient book written in a glyph language of geometric shapes. Even though they don’t understand the language, the book seems to read itself. There is suddenly a huge tear in space, and it vanishes, and the book burns. The characters from your game were locked in time, sealed in the book, as a last resort to keep the chaos imprisoned for thousands of years. Once the book was opened, the spell was broken, which is when they suddenly feel a strong presence in the void.
I was going to rename the realm Atasine, and possibly rename Crystal and Sam as “Genesis” and “Scathe”. The blue mage would be renamed to “Eon”, and the other mages would receive names as well, based on their abilities. However, it’s your story, and it’s not up to me to change anything.
Eon is a great name for the blue mage… I haven’t given them canon names yet… but it seems you can do better
that AND i haven’t given the realm a name… so everything except sam and crystals rename should be canon

@Luminous700 thats what the magic is for, it can do a regular attack, or 2x damage, or 3x damage. But the energy bar limits it to prevent overuse
Made the title
I actually died from the first fight, because the spell kept doing the ) attack instead of the =- attack. I did not expect that barrage of lightning bolts at the beginning. Also, make the lightning white blue.
I would suggest putting players on Layer 2, and putting this grass on Layer 1, so the platforms have more depth.
