I do recommend not going overboard on proportions since although it may seem more appealing to the masses, it’s very unrealistic in actual character design.
I don’t draw female characters much, but when I drew a character from my book series, I tried to make her seem reasonable instead of just clickbait for the audience.

Using basic shapes help get body symmetry and form correct. I use triangles for her torso to get symmetry and a hourglass figure.
Agreed this was mostly just me goofing off and seeing if i could make it work.
Honestly i would also throw myself off a building.
