This is why I:

  1. Don’t do small pixels
  2. Use a higher level sprite editor(Pixilart) so I can work in layers and not worry about filling it in after erasing
  3. Still use Pixilart so I can outline the shapes instantly(its a feature)without placing them indivisually

I need help i want a soul like creature in my game but every one i made looks bad can someone help me please.

Big may seem easier to make, but making it look good and scale with the rest of the game can be difficult.
Since you are limited on resolution, you can’t add as much detail as you initially can with smaller pixels so trying to make a game (not including Fnaf style arcade games) it can be difficult to pull off. I attempted a larger pixel size for Algiophobia and it turned out decent, but I actually had some help and inspiration from past users on it.
