Don’t try it. This is a warning. Just don’t.

ai generated art looks awful and soulless imo

Well, it does when you can draw far better.

it has no soul.
it has no personality.
it has less personality than a thomas kinkade painting

this, despite being much more abstract, exudes so much more feelings, more personality, more soul than this

a lifeless husk of an image

Art usually imitates the artists personality. AI is just a combination of images from the internet. It learns off these millions of images to create an abomination.

paintings drawn by a human just have a certain soul that ai simply can’t replicate

Maybe it’s the fact that you know that someone put their heart and soul into a drawing. But when you know an AI drew something it just has this off feeling.

I don’t mind using AI for references, cause like I said before, it can create abnormal pieces that humans don’t normally do.

It’s also good for creating simple images. Like I AI generated a 3D pumpkin and I used it for my Instagram pfp.

yeah, that’s definitely a part of it.

Lets just stop this argument and make a rule if someone uses ai or “edits” with it just put a side note

Yes, this is true. An AI uses modern technology to search the web and combine images it finds there based on the instructions given to it. Humans, on the other hand, create with their own hands. They draw with personality and soul, which are two things that AIs lack. In some ways though, AIs are better. For detail, for realistic outcomes. They can create something that is not directly related to any other. They can create a hyper-realistic image of a human being that doesn’t exist.

AI’s have no soul, therefore their drawings look weird and off. When I see someone post a drawing that THEY made I imagine how they drew it and it reminds me of cartoons full of life that have so much personality and it just feels amazing. But when I see a drawing an AI made I just imagine an image being popped on someone’s screen and it gives me this weird scary kind of vibe of a grayscale video that shows someone just staring into the screen soullessly, staring at your soul wishing it had one too.

Trying to ignore the future won’t prevent it. Welcome the AI overlords

Don’t tell me you’ve joined their sides!

lol, most AI struggles horribly with fine details, if you zoom into any AI image, you can find lines that dont connect, colors that have no reason being there, and clutter resulting from bad image mixing

Whose side?

The creepy AIs. The ones that predict a future of AI rule.

Oh no, was just making a joke.
But AI will come, so trying to boycott it is just delaying the inevitable. It should be used as a tool, not for everything.

This is a witch I drew for Blazing Spooder’s game, Red Desert.
