design looks a bit to… busy?

Its busy because she’s a vtuber model idea and those are only seen from the midsection up. Anything else is just there to get her motif across

The proportions are pretty good! What do you mean by vtuber though?

vtuber is like using a 3D modeled character that follows your movements so you dont have to show your actual self on the internet

Ooh, interesting. That’s useful.

The circle on top of the candle should look more oval because for me, it would look more realistic, if that’s what you want for that pic. Also, try sketching on paper before starting painting with a brush so you easy to visualize and improve defects of the pic that you drew on the paper.

Oh, ahaha. Water girl from Water girl and Fire boy.

If the characters looked as good as Braden’s drawing, I might’ve played it for more than 2 minutes.

I’m not sure if it was supposed to be realism or not but thanks for telling me!
As for sketching I sketch on the canvas and then paint over it to the best of my ability. This time i sketched first and then painted white on top and I normally do it the other way round.

Nice!! That looks really good! To continue the shading style of the armor, you might want to add a dark shade to the boots and hands.
