Flowlab Brawl DevLog (finally)

(For the people familiar with this) First off, right now, I’m not really in the mood for a “Finally you’re doing a DevLog!” or “About time” or “Why’d you do another topic of the same game!? Stop doing that!” or anything like this. Lately, I’ve been feeling down and I don’t want things to be harder. I want to focus on some things without worrying about other stuff, and I’d rather start this one fresh. Just take the arguments and the off-topic complaints in another post. :sweat:

Anyway…

Recap for new people here: Flowlab brawl is a fighting game. This was actually made somewhere around April or May 2023. It started out with only 4 characters and a 2 player mode with some added bugginess as I went on (especially the story mode). Updates are in the game description btw.

If you wish, stay tuned for some updates as I will keep them all here.

I’m currently doing the bat storyline, and its really good!

I’d say the bat one was probably the easiest to handle because it’s entire story was covered by the other ones, but it was still hard because of the end cutscene and the perspectives.

I think a speed mechanic could make for awesome turbo battles!

Think you could you give me an example?

Like the attack cooldown is less, the characters move faster, gravity is faster, etc.

I don’t actually know how the parrying mechanic is gonna go, so I’m gonna need some ideas.

Maybe parry can do slight extra knockback (if there is any) included with extended stun time?
