Hard Difficulty AI Movement On Final Level Boss

I’m trying to make The final boss move without repeating movement on my game.

The boss spawns when his throne comes into view in the final level. Is there a way to make a smart AI instead of just random?

Please describe how you want the boss to move better.

Maybe having him be able to dodge the charge shots and jump over the player to attack. I’ve made a sword and a laser for him.

When his sword slashes it will grow in size and do its animation. It’s currently smaller than him so it isn’t always hitting. When the boss AI will hit, he sends a message to the sword and its animation starts! All I don’t know how to do is the smart AI movement that chooses when he sends the message or shoots his laser.
