Help with ray-cast

I love ray cast, But why does it never work.
My Empty slots should be detecting the Trash OP next to them, but it’s not.

I just opened your game and did this:

  1. Reconnected the Raycast from the Always
  2. Set the Raycast angle to 180 (to the left) and a length of 32
  3. Set the target type to “/Trash Can OP”
  4. Connected the hit output to a Number so I could see it work

Played the game, and watched the Raycast output.

When I did this, everything worked fine. Did you do something different? Does the above not work for you?

For whatever reason the raycast that detects on top of itself always misses. I don’t really get this. I managed to get it to know if theres one beside it.

Can you show me an example of a broken raycast I can look at? If I see the conditions that break it, it will be much easier to fix.

Just if you play the game, and then click one of the ones in the middle, they never go where they should.
Do you happen to have a simpler system to use?

I don’t understand what this means. Click one of what? Where should it go? Where is the Raycast that is failing to activate when it should?

The top ray-cast is always active, even if a Slot is on it.
The three green things at the top is what I’m referring to.
Clicking them should place them into the next slot.

So I’ve managed a bit more progress, but now I need a system where when you click one of the selected slots. It will move it back to the choosing area, and then leave it’s spot empty, making the next chosen one go to the left most empty space.
