Hmmmm… How do I do VATS?
I’m pretty sure I know the basics, but I want some confirmation on it before I place such a big system in the prints.
i dont think thats possible. pausing the game will pause it of any actions, you couldnt make stuff move when its paused i think but im not as good at this as i have newly started.

What does it do?
V.A.T.S. Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System. Basically, it helps you target the place on any living thing’s body that you want to shoot, and simply click on that area and confirm your decision to make a precise shot. In the action, it will dramatically slow the game so that you can choose.
In a long way around, I think it’s somewhat possible, but not in a way you would intend it.
Every character may need to be a sort of separate sprites to target sections of the body such as head, torso, and legs. for a more detailed spot, you would need more sprites to make 1 character.
To slow down or pause the game without actually pausing would need to be a bundle to message all character’s speed to reduce or stop while active. This process could make you remake allot of your work already, it would need to make allot of behaviors to go around the Flowlab limitations.
Well… that’s right, it is going to a huge pain, and I’m on free version so I can’t make more sprites. Plus, keeping the limbs together without looking like a rag doll would be a pain… Well, I asked, and I got my answer. Thanks guys! (=
hey what if when you activate vats you use a switch to stop the object and its actions giving it an illusion of everything stopping, oh and add a switch to your walking animation and run and jump so that when using vats, it turns the switch off so you are stuck until you press the button again.
and maybe you can eliminate the head torso arms and legs. instead have just a body that randomly choses if you target head body legs or arms
oh and another thing. could you make super mutants look more like super mutants from fallout?
Yeah, I didn’t like the super mutants either… I’ll work on it but I’m mainly working on my other game right now. Oh, and I LOVE the idea for your V.A.T.S. I just think any way to make it would cause a huge lag spike.
