First things first, probably not the most appropriate profile picture.
Second, are you asking how to reply or message people in general? Or by private message?
You can message anyone by tagging their name by @(followed by their username) and it’ll ping them. You can message or reply to anyone on any open discussion as long as it keeps to that discussions topic and nothing else.
To private message someone, you want to click on your profile, hit the little envelope icon, then click the down arrow at the bottom of your private messages list, which might be empty since you haven’t started any. Then there’ll be a blue icon on the next page with the same envelope icon that will start up a new private message, just be sure to add a title, description of the message and add those who you want to view and reply back to the message.

how do i change my pfp?

You can head to your flowlab profile and press on the PFP. Once you upload a file, go to the forums again and sign out. Sign back in after reloading it and it should be uploaded.
And yes, please change it to something… more appropriate.
