I always see people use the letterbox fullscreen and it looks fine but when I do it it just distorts the pixels. I was playing gamougg 2 in fullscreen and gamougg’s face looks weird but its fine when I play the game normally.

This is probably because your monitor resolution is not a multiple of your game screen size.
One way to fix hat could be to lock the screen size to a multiple of your game’s size so it only gets scaled up 2x, 3x, 4x etc instead of 3.21x or whatever. This would probably mean black bars all the way around the game in fullscreen though.
