Art/UI:
The artwork is without a doubt the best part of FOXER. The colours are beautiful, the sprites have a perfect amount of detail, and the animation and particles are just enough for the game to feel alive, but not enough to be distracting. Very visually clear and pleasing to look at. Great job :+1:

Sound:
I’m assuming you’re planning on adding sound? I’m imagining a few different sounds for landing on different materials (rock, grass, metal) and definitely a nice looping music track with a good pace to encourage the player to keep going. It might also be cool to have a proximity-based fire sound for the torches.

Gameplay:
It’s definitely not bad, but just a bit boring to me and a little clunky.
I often got stuck on the side of platforms or suddenly lost on my jump height and had to wait for my double jump to charge. I think there needs to be something a bit more to this game, but I don’t know what to suggest because I’m not exactly sure what kind of game you’re going for. The only thing I can think of is letting the player shoot manually by holding down another button. I think it should still aim automatically at the nearest enemy though so that It still works easily on mobile. I think this would be good for improving the combat, because currently the only thing you can do is move close, but not too close to enemies. This might not work for you, but if you could maybe tell me what your main inspirations are, I can try to come up with some other solution.

JUICE/Polish:
Particle effects are good, animation is good. The only thing bringing down this category is of course the lack of all sound.

Conclusion:
FOXER is a beautiful and very promising game, but it lacks all sound (at least for now), and is a bit dull on the gameplay for me. Thanks for submitting, and good luck with development!

Is there a specific reason you relate Juice to polish?

Juice is how clean or polished a game is. It’s just commonly used in game dev and other fields.

For me, I think of Juice as the little interactions to make the game feel more lively.
And I think of Polish :poland: as the larger whole of how everything fits together.

I am bad with jokes and comedy, although, when I get it, I greatly enjoy it. I do not get why CodeAlpaca uses the Polish flag, therefore, I am unable to greatly enjoy it.

He is a nindroid designed by a human and was later recruited to a team of martial artists that protect the city of Ninjago.

I don’t know how but I just saw this. I have already fixed many of these issues in the final product, in particular the visual and AI. However, the Faceless AI is still busted. I’ll try to figure out how to make it more fair. I’ve also revamped the animations for the player intensely and added a lot of better weapons, including a stun-grenade reality anchor, firearms, and more powerful melee weapons. Thanks for the tips.
