This might help. It’s a trick called Sprite Stacking that gives a 3D effect if done correctly

You have to look into the code more because it’s a little complicated, but you have several layers of the sprite, and they are added on top of each other at an offset that allows for the 3D look. They rotate and move at the same time which gives it the 3D look from all angles.
