I just abused blender and flowlab for a 3d game concept

https://flowlab.io/game/view/1453058 I used blender and render the frames at 320x320

So you took screenshots of a 3d image, and made an animation.

Making 2D animations of 3D images is what I’m hoping to see more of. This is also how Donkey Kong Country was made, as well as DOOM.

Yah, I heard that DOOM actually used clay figures, They have all of them in the id software office

Well, I’m going to try to make a bunch of them and make a 3d game like doom

Got the gun working >-<

Doom isn’t 3D, and that’s also not how it works

He’s probably talking about doom eternal.

Definitely not, that wouldn’t make any sense

I was planning to do something similar for porkys nightmare once I got the time to. Very nice concept

I once created a 3D render of Porky. If you look at the original game, you can see the object.

@F3Art was probably talking about the original Doom, and he’s right - they used clay models that they photographed and then cleaned up into pixel art.

Also the chainsaw was real - https://www.instagram.com/p/B_Cg_RUpXXb/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Also, this is a great book even if you’re not a fan of id, but especially if you are:

I nominate @grazer to be next doom guy
With a pet cat, of course lol.

Gotta rewrite the cat’s fate, though, considering what happened to Daisy back in the OG Doom series days /:
