I need halp now help help help help help help help help!

I’m making a multiplayer platformer shooter game. and in said game there is a gun that points at your cursor. every player has that gun. and the problem is that the gun that the other person is holding is being triggered by the other person. I don’t know how to fix it. like the gun both fires and aims when the opposite person try’s to use their gun. heres a link if you need it :frowning: NVM - Flowlab Game Creator

Multiplayer isn’t really in a great state and I don’t suggest making a full multiplayer game, but there are work arounds for this. I still encourage people to try and test the feature to give feedback.

  1. Make a UI object (call it “user input”) and set it to “no multiplayer” and DO NOT place it in the level.
  2. In the “user input” object, you will place all user input behaviors in here, such as keyboard behaviors; and you will send a messages to the player.
  3. In the player, use a player check behavior to get the “local” output and connect it to spawn for the “user input” object.
  4. Use another player check behavior for “local” for the mailboxes that will be recieving the messages from the “user input” object.

yeah… the coolest multiplayer game on here is misty hollow, and that game had some of the best game makers in flowlab, and you all are good game makers, @Bmarzi is he ever on the forums?

I helped troubleshoot the multiplayer stuff in Misty Hollow, but I didn’t contribute much to the game outside of that. Misty Hollow works well because it’s a multiplayer game that doesn’t have interaction between the players. If you have a multiplayer game that relies on frame data (precise fighting game) or physics data (like a hocky game), multiplayer breaks a little bit.

Flowlab is capable for shooter games, but the multiplayer itself has a lot of workarounds you need to do to actually get it working.
