I mean, couldnā€™t people just make it black? The point is mainly to watermark non-indie account games (in a prettier looking way) if Iā€™m correct. Tis why the flowlab logo on the navigation bar has a shadow when the background is white. I think what indieā€™s get out of it is pretty fair.

That was the point though - just to have a replaceable image that doesnā€™t draw attention.

Yes, you can just delete the image very easily (clicking on it opens the sprite editor)

Sort of. Free games are already watermarked, so thatā€™s not really changing much. This update is really just to unify the loading screens and give indie users the ability to make customized loading/splash screens.

Will this work for the limited time standard plan?

If you mean the Starter plan, then yes - that upgrade includes all editor features.

Go to levels, and on the bottom right there should be a button to edit the loading screen
