I mean, couldnāt people just make it black? The point is mainly to watermark non-indie account games (in a prettier looking way) if Iām correct. Tis why the flowlab logo on the navigation bar has a shadow when the background is white. I think what indieās get out of it is pretty fair.

Yes, you can just delete the image very easily (clicking on it opens the sprite editor)
Sort of. Free games are already watermarked, so thatās not really changing much. This update is really just to unify the loading screens and give indie users the ability to make customized loading/splash screens.

If you mean the Starter plan, then yes - that upgrade includes all editor features.
So pretty much you are allowing for an easier splashy text screen

Go to levels, and on the bottom right there should be a button to edit the loading screen
