So when the acid gets touched by the player I have the player destroyed and the acid have an animation of the player getting melted, BUT THEN when the player touches TWO acid objects both of them play the melting animation looking like two players got melted,
any way to prevent this?

That can’t help heres the sprites it might help you understand
acid is half the canvas in the thing so if the player was animated on top of it then it would look like it is melting while floating
Make an always connected to a switch that constantly sets the player Y to whatever-you-want. Make the collision with the acid turn the switch.
