Need help with gun mechanics still

Ok, guys, no one has helped me with what I actually needed, I need my player to have the ability to HOLD the gun in his hand, and I want him to pickup the gun not have a gun in his hand when you start the game, kind of like apex, I want him to FIND the gun and touch it to pick up. If I gave one of you permissions can you do it for me please? Sometimes I get confused when it’s explained.

BTW I don’t want the npc enemy to move everywhere i just want forward and back movement

Question is this a top-down game or a platformer. I might have an example for this already depending on the type of game.

Oh, so its a platformer, that shouldn’t be too hard to whip up an example real quick. Do you want the gun to point at the mouse curser or to point where the player is facing?

I hope this is kind of what your looking for. I started on it and then I had to go do some work so its a bit delayed. I started up on it and then I realized that you never gave me a specific gun or if you wanted an inventory where you can cycle between multiple guns, but I made this for ya, hope you like it. I only spent about ten minutes on it so its not exactly detailed and yes I had to use some of the default sprites cause I was in a hurry, but everything seems to work out alright. There were already multiple sprites before this so Bullet-2 is the bullet you would want to use for this, along with the realistic looking gun (which I made that myself).

Arrow keys to move, click to shoot.
