Player attaches to lazer

I made an animation for the jump and walk but I set the death animations priority higher than the others so that if you hit the lazer no matter what you do the animation plays out and you die, but when you jump on it, the player just sticks to the lazer and nothing happens. Is it because of the run & jump bundle? If so how could I fix it?
