As you can probably tell, I’ve been trying to add variety to the game in the form of new Dino species. Which would you prefer to see next?

  • Dilophosaurus
  • Troodon
  • Other small dino (Feel free to suggest something)

So is this game basically like, if Animal Crossing had violence. But with dinosaurs instead of human-like animals. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Not exactly, but i plan on doing more down the road to make it feel more unique! I can definitely see why you would think that thus far especially with how empty the world currently is.

Ohh ok.

My imagination went wild when I thought you were going in the direction of Animal Crossing.

I was thinking:

Build homes for the Dinos
Interact with other Dinos (Make friends or enemies)
Hatch new Dinos
Do tasks for Dinos
Fight enemies maybe

Idk, a lot of possibilities went through my mind lol

Although a good idea, thats not what its going to be. I hope you enjoy what it ends up as anyways! And besides, maybe I’ll end up doing something like that later on (in a separate game), its all up in the air!

After a quick re-read, you werent totally wrong. Although you cant build homes for other dinos, or hatch eggs, you can make friends and enemies, do tasks for certain dinos, and fight enemies!

January 17, 2023 Development Update:

Additions:

  • New Dino; Pegomastax
  • New Dino; Troodon

Bug fixes:

  • Player may now attack backwards facing Dinos
  • Player can no longer trigger combat while no Dinos are around

Improvements:

  • Updated Attack icon
  • New pegomastax walk animation (will play randomly)

I don’t think I’ve heard of that dino before. I just looked up an image and it looks cool.

Although good ideas, most of those dinos are too large to make it into the game. Im focusing on dinos that are around the same size, or smaller than a raptor. Although some bigger dinos may make an appearance as bosses :eyes:

Para is about the same size as raptor

Ha, sorry to say those arent an accurate size comparison. Parasaurolophus are much larger than raptors, in fact they are known for their size.

Additions:

  • Flee Button

Changes:

  • Updated UI
  • Updated attack button icon

Bug Fixes:

  • Dinos may now be attacked in any order
  • Dixie’s “Enter Battle” animation will always play on first attack
