I asked my friend what game i should make next, and al he said is “corn.” so here i am making a game about corn, although id like to have some feedback. i want to add some more hiding mechanics and enemies and a menu to buy different power-ups for use. but first check this early testing phase out
Flowlab - CORN(early testing)
give me some feedback!
click and hold to flop, space to use the corn gatling ability
the premise of the game is gonna be to survive as long as possible to buy a powerup, and then survive longer and repeat the process.
Add a hub area where you can rejuvenate (by looking at corn)
I was planning to add a menu with a shop, but yes, a hub would be nice (the living corn hideout) Instead of a plain shop ima have some ability selling npcs (aka some living corn dudes who know magic) probably a basic one that sells you normal abilities, and then some special ones like passives that could be gotten for achievements.
now thats EXACTLY what im gonna call it.
get rid of mixels, art isn’t that bad but different sprites have very different sized pixels
mechanics are really hard to work with, movement sucks and ability is janky
thats kind of the concept
edit: i made the ability less janky (you can no longer slide in the air)
also only the player has smaller pixels than everything else
this is probably the most goofy lookin ability you’ve seen on this platform (its satisfying to use ngl)
press space (btw the farmer has a around 7% chance to accidentally kick u while ur hiding)
I know that, but I don’t even get what it does. I just rotate in the air for a bit? And then I automatically fall down and the farmer catches me?
it follows your mouse, and if you shoot at the farmer he gets stunned for 5 seconds afterwards (plus you get a little backwards boost when you’re done that’s not a bug its a feature)
@Cuts_ups @117JOJO cornhub? ummmmm you guys know…right? i hope?
yep, we all know that its a very tiny reference. but lets just not…
yeh thank god lol i was beginning to be slightly concerned
