Im thinking of adding one of my games to steam. When i finish the game Iโll host a fundraiser to get it on steam
Iโm 100% going to open a Kickstarter after the demo is done
Obviously the best way to go about making games public is to get people to play, have them review it, OR post it on social media
posting on YouTube shorts or any platform where people doomscroll is the first step for advertising. costs no money and is really easy to get views, all you have to do is make the people comment something, for example like how me and shyguys do our videos
Instagram reels, facebook, tiktokโฆ yeah.
yeah, one mistake that a lot of people do is start long form content for advertising, that never works because thumbnails, shows the amount of views (where you would probably have 100 or just 10 and nobody would click on it) and plus long form content is just longer so less people stumble across your video
Not twitter of course. That place is a toxic minefield.
As long as it doesnt have politics or represent real world problems X should be fine
You cant be controversial
Thatโs not the case. If I wanted to, Iโd have to do it with my dad (he wants to do it with me, but it always takes a long time + school chromebooks ainโt gonna let me)
Ik that I wonโt get paid, I just want a steam page for the heck of it
Also, people are more familiar with steam then itch io, so more people would be more likey to download it.
(Also it would be really cool to have one of only flowlab steam games)
