Well its up to you guys to make the game, my labtop has officially crashed and wont load it so gl 
If you want to have the player hold the gun, I would suggest making the character have an animation that shows him holding the gun. That way you can’t use attaches objects since that requires a lot more work, and it overlaps with the characters current animation. (If we plan on having punching).
Plus if we used animations for the guns, it would be so much easier to switch off the punch so the player can’t punch while shooting.

Then the player hitbox would be wonky, and the weapons wouldn’t be very easy to code. You’d at least have to code an invisible object to attach for tbe coding.

Well, I know the players hit box will be a little weird. But isn’t the payers hit box the original shape of the character? Any animation attached to him won’t effect its hitbox so the gun can actually go through stuff like it does in the actual game.

Attached blocks do as well, only you can do things lile flashes, shotguns and recoil way easier.

Are you dumb. The original sprite it self will have a hit box based on the original size. Even if you have a bigger thing on an animation the hit box will still be as it was on the original.

Well, it was just a simpler way of doing it since we are going to have attached helmets and armor (which i have an idea for that) and backpacks so attaching weapons would work, but then the character would be a walking monstrosity at that point, lol. I mean the amount of objects attached to him would be insane and that would require a crap ton of objects.
Which this is just my opinion on this.
