New netherrack isnā€™t even that realistic, itā€™s much easier to look at for extended periods though.

Yes, the old Netherack sprite was slightly annoying to stare at while mining in the nether. The new sprite is better.

I donā€™t dislike the new one, but Iā€™ll nearly always go for classic styles. Both in my opinion are decent, but one has nostalgia attached to it. Yes, I admit I am biased.
