In terms of looks or the suit itself? Because Spartan suits are technically superior.

i much prefer the color sceme and looks of the odst suit, but your right the spartan suit is stronger but the odst are dispatched in groups making up for the armors lack of strenth a single odst could not beat a spartan but a small group could @John_Shrekinson

I see. I kinda disagree with this
because in the novel Halo: The Fall of Reach, Master Chief kills 3 ODSTs after they started a fight with him while he was unarmored and using the gym after going through the Spartan II augmentations for the first time at the age of 14. Both Master Chief and technology have only improved since then.
It would probably take an army of ODSTs tbh. At least, if it were a direct confrontation. Theoretically, a group of ODSTs may be able to take out a Spartan if they were to surprise one, use an instant kill weapon, or something like that.
the average odst group is sent in groups of 5-10 and it also depends on what weapons the odst have, plus i said a spartan, not THE master cheif, nobody beats the master cheif, however spartans sometimes use odst suits

and the odst have strengh in numbers so while one odst serves as a distraction the other odsts could launch a sneak attack

Yeah but keep in mind that aside from his luck, Master Chief was just a normal Spartan at the time.
I addressed this in some edits
They sometimes use ODST helmets for sure (take Buck in Halo 5), but I donât know about suits unless they needed a disguise for whatever reason.
