CH.1 - Skin
The desolate, crumbling cityscape is flooded with sand, through the sand swim skinworms. As he walks through the barren wasteland, scavenging supplies, he feels a tremor in the sand… Panic. He runs, and he runs, and runs, but skinworms are superior creatures. Born from rotten flesh, they’re nearly indestructible, they simply eat and absorb, eat and absorb… EAT. ABSORB. The skinworm gracefully dives out of the sand like a flying fish, narrowly missing it’s prey. He runs, and runs, and runs. Eventually he makes it onto higher ground. He hears the screeches of the skinworms in the distance.

CH.2. - Child
A child runs across the barren expanse, the child sees a man standing on a piece of a destroyed airplane, ‘Z-98-ASC3ND’ is written on the side. The child runs up to the man and asks: ‘‘Hi mister, do you happen to have any water? I’m quite thirsty, and my parents disappeared while I was asleep. I’ve been searching for them for a couple hours now, I saw a dead skinworm with my dad’s scarf tied around it.’’ The man says: ‘‘Your parents… aren’t coming back anytime soon. But I can take care of you!’’ The child grows a hearty smile on her face, she asks: ‘‘Thank you mister! What should I call you?’’ The man replies: ‘‘Call me Uriel. What’s your name?’’ He asks the child while handing her a bottle of warm water, the child stares deep into Uriel’s eyes without responding.

Well, the skinworm’s bodies are mainly made up of a giant mouth, this mouth is connected to an organ called a selisia, the selisia breaks down the flesh that the skinworm eats into skin cells, the skinworm has barely any meat, it’s all skin. The only way to kill a skinworm is to destroy the brain, the brain is deep inside of the selisia.
