Nice. Although I just checked Mortal Kombat 1 on iMDB and he was voiced by Ron Yuan? Maybe he voiced him in MK11? If so I agree he’s great bro.
Whar? I didn’t know that. If I remember Mortal Kombat 11 correctly, D’Vorah killed present-day Hanzo Hazashi and the past Scorpion took his place basically. But since Hanzo was killed, the old Scorpion was blamed for his death by Raiden, Liu Kang, and Kung Lao, so they fought him. After that Mortal Kombat 11’s timeline would end because Liu Kang became Fire God Liu Kang after he defeated Kronika and Raiden gave him his powers. MK1 (2023) is the new timeline that Liu Kang kreates after this.
The new Sub-Zero is Kuai Liang, who took over after his brother Bi Han, the original Sub-Zero, died and became Noob Saibot (this probably happened in both the original and 2nd timeline).
The new game is a complete reset other than Liu Kangs character, he created a new universe where Kuai Liang is Scorpion, and Bi-Han is Sub Zero. You are correct that Ron Yuan voiced scorpion in prior games, but the new one is Daisuke Tsuji.
If you remember, at the end of mk11 the universe was destroyed leaving the hourglass in Liu Kangs control. This is why he must create a new one, hence the story of Mk1
Cool, is the story any good? It’ll be hard to convince my family of such a big gaming investment when we already have two decent MK games and we barely play MK11 now cuz everyone got their own thing now (I miss fun social interactions).
Yeah, I especially noted in the MK1 trailer how Scorpion and Sub-Zero really looked like brothers and the return of Kenshi, Takeda, and Reptile. I never played MKX (was too young at the time, and I only was allowed to play MK9 because my dad got it around the time of release, which was long before I knew anything about Mortal Kombat) and Takeda always seemed more interesting to me than Jacqui Briggs or Cassie Cage so I hope. I liked reading the MKX komics in which Takeda, Kenshi, and Scorpion’s relationship was explored.
Yeah, I don’t know anything about Kung Jin aside from his gameplay in the Mortal Kombat (X) mobile game, which I played for most of my life and had 3 different sets of progress (2016, which ended when the game had a black screen and I couldn’t get past the initial loading screen before the daily login; 2019; and 2021, which I might be able to get back because I think I used a WB account to save this one but I’m not sure).
Takeda is probably the best, but I think Cassie Cage is funny. Not sure what to say about Jacqui and Jin.
I’m not a fan of the fantasy cars, since they don’t really hold much of any value.
The batmobile vehicles I do collect, only because they release a new one every case so it’s cool to collect them all.
I used to collect a ton of fantasy cars like the burger and donut cad alongside a lot of the cars that looked like fish, such as the shark ones.
The only time I’ll collect one now is if it’s a treasure hunt, which I found three fantasy treasures a bit ago.
But they don’t hold much value since people are more into the real cars. I know the Nissan and foreign hotwheels go for a lot, but because they are terrible in my opinion, I stick to a lot of the gassers and classic muscle cars. A lot of the newer generation are into those supposedly “10” second cars which apparently are Nissans and a bunch of other stuff. I’m sure they may go fast, but they all look terrible in design and I’m personally not into many foreign vehicles. (Except maybe Volkswagen or a Ferrari)
I’ll occasionally collect mustangs, mostly Camaros, Pontiac firebirds, classic chevys, and corvettes. My favorite is probably the corvette stingray since it was one of the earliest hotwheels I remember owning.
I mostly go for the older classics like 55 Chevy nomad, gasser, 32 Ford, etc.
