I donāt know how Aternos handles mods. I know other server hosting platforms only have preselected mods to choose from and requesting one takes a couple weeks I believe.

Iām looking for a dweller preset mod and I havenāt seen one yet, but theres a ton of cool ones like a roquelike adventure and dungeons mod pack and the scp modpack.
I think if you download the specific Forge update for the modpack we wish to use, we can use any forge mod even if it isnāt listed as long as itās the same update. I could be wrong. That is if we want to use the dweller mod. We can always use something else.

You can both upload and select modpack from Aternos.
Forge has some excellent ones. I would be down for anything, but an apocalypse mod server sounds epic to me.

I have a server thatās currently up and running. It has three total mods (technically four which is to run the models).
One being the cave dweller mod. A midnight lurker mod, and a mod that adds thirst and temperature to the game, to make the survival more realistic.
I donāt know how to share mod files using a link, at least on forge.

Youāll want to create a new profile and add all of these to the same profile or else it wonāt work.

The Homeostatic mod adds thirst and temperature as a survival mechanic in the game. I know thirst acts like hunger and the temperature is decided by biome or heat sources like lava, furnaces, etc.
I donāt know if itās mainly for freezing, but Iāve seen a similar temperature mod where you can overheat. If youāre in a room with too many furnaces youāll start burning, but very slowly.
The dweller mod adds a very creepy mob that will randomly spawn underground and chase you. He is able to break down doors and glass, climb up walls, and crawl through 1 to 1/2 block gaps trying to kill you. He runs at insane speeds and has about the same amount of health as a warden, if not slightly less.
Plus he can two tap you without armor, but they can be killed.
The midnight lurker is the same type of creature but spawns on the surface. I believe they spawn at night though. Their abilities might be the same as the dweller, but it varies on the mod.
There were several others I wanted to add, but they were all for 1.19.2 and not 1.20.1. Plus I wanted to try and use the Homeostatic mod which is only 1.20.1.
The Homeostatic mod may be a bit annoying, but it makes the game more on the idea of survival than trying to thrive like you normally would. Plus with the dwellers hunting you down, it definitely makes for a very scary game.
I could see if I can get the skinstalker mod, since that dweller can shift into animals and lure players to it, and it spawns both above and below ground from what Iāve seen.
Iāve tried uploading mods onto Aternos and I could only figure out how to add pre-existing ones already selected on there. So thatās why Iām limited to only 3 mods since they were the only 3 that both platforms shared.
Another reason I donāt want too many mods is because I canāt share them using a link like Thunderstore mod manager does. So I have to either send a zip file by email (which I think I have yours already, but itās inconvenient for others) or youāll have to download each one manually. If the mod pack ever went past 5 or so, Iāll just send out the zip file, since itāll be easier to do at that point.

i kind of wish they had a better model other than rectangles with teeth, because in my opinion, that makes it 5x less scary
