John, you’ve been typing for 20 minutes.
The effect disney pixar cars had on me as a kid was that I wanted my hot wheels cars to be characters, so I made them all into somewhat developed characters, with some even having full-blown relationships (deep lore for a child’s toys’ story). Like the red Ferrari and the yellow Ferrari loved each other?? And also the characters genders would be directly based on Power Rangers and other shows like that, so the aforementioned Ferarri cars would be a boy and a girl respectively.
On a light blue car I had and still have, I used a black crayon to write the letter L on its hood. This was because I liked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and since I knew all the lore (excluding most comic lore since TMNT comics aren’t for kids) I knew about the obscure show by the creator of Power Rangers, called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, which added a fifth turtle who was female. Since I hadn’t watched the show, I foolishly thought that she (Venus De Milo) had a name that started with the same letter as Leonardo, since both of their bandanas are blue. That’s why I wrote “L” on the car’s hood almost 10 years ago, so that I could have a toy of some old obscure TMNT character I guess??
I also like Beyblade a lot, so I used to flip the cars upside down and spin them with my hand, and then they would clash and battle just like spinning Beyblades. Some cars were better than others. I can tell you guys which cars are better for these “Hot Wheels Beyblade Simulation Battles” (new term I made for this activity just now when this post was made) if you like.
I have been on Flowlab community for over 2 years now.
That kind of su.cks you have to get rid of your stuff. Sounds kind of wrong to me.
I keep just about anything I can get, even if it’s broken cause I can always just fix it later on.
I have a ton of racing champion race cars as well as a ton of opened hot wheels from my youth. But I keep them in the packs because some of the rare ones grow in value. Especially treasure and super treasure hunts.
I think Alpaca is on a farm raising 3 smart Ember Ys

I open literally all of the toys I get, except for recently when I got a few older sealed toys like a Spider-Sense Spider-Man keychain “with web-climbing action”, two Hot Wheels cars from 2002 and 2007, and a Voyager Class Rescue Ratchet from Transformers 2007. My parents are less disappointed in me when I collect toys vs when I play or make videos with them. That and the belief that they could be valuable in the future, is why I left those toys in the box.
I got the Spider-Man keychain from a distant Dollarama located in Riocan Burloak, Oakville, Ontario, for less than retail price. That particular location also had some “Kung-Zhu” (basically kung-fu hamsters) from 2010, meaning that they could have some more old stuff you wouldn’t expect. They also had a whole lot of official Transformers foam fighter jets (non-transforming) of Megatron and Optimus Prime that were just generic “evergreen” (marketing term) versions of the characters that weren’t based directly on any specific iteration of Transformers.
edit: there is a reply I made to this post, this message here is to remind people in case they miss it
I’m arising from my eternal slumber once more
What’s up
When I searched for Dollarama’s official website on Google to check for stuff a while ago, I found that they have a few branches in the US as well. I haven’t been to any dollar store outside of Canada except for some Dollar Trees in the USA, but if their Dollarama operates roughly the same just with obviously different products, then they could have similarly cheap, like new, old, toys too.
Speaking of Dollar Tree, in America they are more or less the same as in Canada. Both carry Block Tech (LEGO competitor brand) products produced by “Greenbrier International”, random sports + Pokémon + MTG cards, and other stuff. The Block Tech products can also be found at Walmart. Block Tech’s Dollar Tree items range from small sets, polybags with LEGO Technic pieces, and mainly variously colored brick bags and 15x15 stud baseplates. These are very similar to, and less distinguishable from, real LEGO, but the difference is extremely obvious when put together side-by-side or used together in the same build.
Back to Canadian Dollarama, they have some official Transformers “Squeezables” that come in blind bags. These are one of the “evergreen” Transformers products again, and 4 characters are available: Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Starscream, and Megatron. I didn’t buy any of these, but from what I can tell, they’re much like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Angry Birds “Mash 'Ems” that were everywhere in both the US and Canada in the 2010s.

It’s difficult to find exactly when I began, as I started playing games on flowlab before I actually made an account. It was a while after making my second account that I began using the forums. However, I know the age of myself when it all began, and from there it’s been about 8-9 years.
