Algiophobia was a large project of mine a while ago, but it was kind of cut short due to my small knowledge at the time, having a free account, and I also had education in the way as well.
It’s not difficult in terms of puzzle solving or figuring out what to do, but it’s mostly the creature that’s chasing you. Since his AI is a bit too over powered, but it was actually really impressive compared to that era in flowlab. I know some users had AI players to compete in minigames and such, but this guy was pretty good for a standard horror game. Wandering around the house, slowly zoning in on the player, but not chase them. If the player got too close or was infront of him, he would chase you. If he sees you go into a bedroom, he’ll follow, and if he sees you hide in a dresser, he’ll kill you anyway. Which made the game very realistic, but also very difficult considering there weren’t any checkpoints.
It’s overall a very short game, mostly just finding keys and escaping out the front door, while there’s also a ton of lore about the creature and the kid that you play as. Basically Fnaf 4 in a way.
The only reason I have kind of neglected this game, was because I already have this TV head monster in The Site: 012 Incident, which will haunt the player if your sanity is too low. Since he’s a phycological being, he can’t really be contained, but typically haunts those who have suffered great pain or trauma, giving the name, Algiophobia which is fear of Pain.
It says it’s spelled wrong because there’s 7 different ways to spell the phobia, but this was one of the more uncommon ways, so I used it for a game title.
I believe there’s a 50 limit for likes daily, and that’s for Regular Users, It’s lower for newer users.
I know brand new users have a limit of like 5 posts, but after being promoted to basic, I think they have unlimited. I read the badge for Basic and it said they have the usual abilities as most members so I don’t really know.
I was playing your game and I didn’t realize actually how similar the games were, lol.
At least the main enemy in mine is similar to the Watcher, but I had to manage with two floors of the house and the feature to go into different rooms.
He’s been apart of flowlab longer, a lot longer than I have.
But I think it’s because I was among the first active wave of users when the forums first moved to discourse so we all kind of struggled trying to get over the member roles. I know the first day was very short because everyone had a post limit of like 5, and it was a race to get to the regular role, lol.
I don’t remember if mebslime was active when we first moved to discourse. Sometimes it feels that he disappears for periods of time and returns. Or he doesn’t post a lot during these times cause I didn’t see him much. That’s been like several years ago so I can’t really remember.
It’s been so long, I don’t even remember. It was an actual homemade website for flowlab that grazer made for the forums I believe. It only had light mode from what I remember so it was kind of RIP for dark users at the time.
There wasn’t any moderating roles at the time except grazer, and he was busy dealing with updates and other stuff so there was a past user who would take advantage of that and used a lot of foul language. I forgot the users name, but he was among the first to use flowlab, but wasn’t a very good person from what I had seen.
He left shortly after I joined so I don’t know anything on him. I’m sure Mebslime might remember.
Here’s the game I managed to find. It may be broken since I haven’t touch it in like 4 updates, but it may be about the equivalent difficulty as your game if you don’t understand how the monster works.
I do know the articles/notes don’t work too well, and the background might not load, but it shouldn’t effect gameplay. I know this because I was having issues with it during development and never found out the issue.
I’m currently playing through it now and I’m glad I added a keyhole mechanic, cause the creature was right outside the door and I would have died if I left the room, lol.
