I feel like it depends on how you color it.
The top one is more interesting in a whole but if you use too many colors itll be busy and distracting.
The bottom one is less dramatic but its simple style is going to be easier to color for a pfp.

The first if you are going for an epic/cool design.
The second if you want others to recognize the/your character instantly.

Personally, the second one shows more detail with the character than anything else so it would be a good choice for a profile pic, and you could use the other one for a backround
on your profile
