Yes, that’s one of the primary reasons why, but the secondary reason is because I want to be a hands-on man. I don’t want to be an ivory tower thinker who knows the best ideals without even seeing what reality I actually live in. It’s a big step for me in my goals.

(even so, it’s mostly a bit, I don’t have any real hatred or disliking for anyone here. Think of it like teasing a friend of yours)

I don’t have friends like that. However, I do believe you, especially with Prism telling me many good things about working with you.

his project is a pretty great achievement that I frequently show off to my classes to show them what they could be.

I’m very flattered by this, by the way, thank you.

That and Parse-O-Rhythm are the two games that I use to inspire my kids. Good job on getting so far!

From the abyss of my mind, why do you have to straight up saying that to a dev on this platform who made such a great game with his team?

  1. That’s kinda rude (unless they did something very wrong, which in this case is not, at all).
  2. Do you have to say it on this forum? What is the point that you want everyone to know? Rez can’t handle to work on Eldabyss = bad? You’re no longer a kid, bruh.
And pls, think twice before posting something, unless you need to (and this one is not necessary to post). I also ā€œpromiseā€ to make and release good game before, twice, and make a game with good game mechanic and rich contents, cuz I was stupid back then.

My conclusion: You don’t have to say ā€œI’m gonna refund your gameā€ just because they’re get overwhelmed and can’t handle to work on their game anymore.
(and yes, I’m unemployed , that’s why I wrote the post this long)

I’ve only seen a few episodes, but before I could start working on the series, it was taken off Netflix without a warning (been having a bit of trouble finding it for free)

I’m not saying Eldabyss is bad. I have recommended it to one of my friends. I’m just saying WHAT I HAVE SAID BEFORE

Temporary or not. I’m no longer gonna try. You guys won the argument.

And I’m going to explain to you again, for about the fifth time, it is a temporary discount as an apology. You did not get scammed, and I know that thinking you were is exactly why you’re so prickish about this. Literally nobody except you is acting out about this.

Now quit being a scumbag, and stop trying to get free games, because at this point you’re basically telling me you’d rather pirate my work than give me all of five dollars for it.

You could’ve done your refund silently instead of trying to be some kind of protester by announcing it here. Are you five?

Like I said. I’ma just stop refunding. Steam is just steam. I am trying to drop the conversation.

Depending on your budget or income, I can see why you would prefer to get a game for free rather than pay for it, most people would. However, I’m pretty sure that the $5 charge for the game is there to help support the developer(s) of the game and considering extrez had to pay like a $100 fee to get Eldabyss onto steam (I’m pretty sure that’s the amount, unless it went up), he had to significantly pay more just so everyone else has access to it for only $5. Even though he mentioned the 100% discount as a sort of apology for the discontinuation of the project, I don’t think that’s supposed to be an insult to everyone who did buy the game, but as a gesture to those who have been thinking about getting it.
I’m considering to just buy the game for $5 myself just to help support another developer, regardless of if it’s planned to be made free for a short while only because $5 isn’t really much as of today. All of that work and effort for $5 alone is already a steal.

Also, I’m not trying to drag this out any longer, nor am I trying to poke at any one side here, just figured I would state the worth of buying the game versus getting it for free. This can go for just about most games, but especially indie game developers as they have a much smaller budget and limited resources for their projects unlike triple A titles who have just about anything they need.

Someone gets it. THANK GOD

Now idk about all yall’s money but I am hanging on a thread of $1.58. Clearly i cant buy stuff on steam without it being free. But either way yall are thinking ā€œ'ey I think he’s trying to make him go brokeā€ I’m just as broke

Decided to remake a little band music (only the intro, but still not done + it may sound a bit off)
