I was in an auction for a lot of 6 constructicons including a very good condition hook. The bid was at $21.50 and I thought I won it, since the auction ended, but the second it ended, the page refreshed and showed someone bid $22 and won it. Kind of ruined the day for me, lol.

Yeah, for figures like that, there have been a lot of reissues that normally aren’t worth a lot in loose conditions so that’s why the sealed ones hold their value. That’s why I like to buy loose G1 figures from ebay, they are much cheaper and you get to transform/display them without losing any value.
However, I feel if I managed to buy a sealed figure, it would be pretty hard keeping it in the package.

I was at a yard sale and bought a 1999 Lego Star Wars droid developer kit for like $50 since they priced it from ebay and halved it. However, they only looked at the opened kits going for $100, but the set was completely untouched. The box unfortunately had been opened since the tape lost its adhesiveness from over 20 years of sitting, but every bag was sealed, the software CD was still in the cardboard sleeve, as well as the computer/motor. Basically, fresh from a retail store 27 years ago and it goes for around $200 or more. I don’t plan to sell it since it’s the oldest Star Wars set, I own and kind of historic since 1999 was the year Lego Star Wars came out, but it was very hard not opening it since it’s basically a kit to build a working R2-D2 that actually drives around, plus you can manually code it using the software the CD provided. Not sure if the software works with today’s computers since it required windows xp which is long extinct, but still very cool.

I have the chase soundwave from the Galaxy Version 3 blind boxes.
I went to the store to grab some last-minute items for the holidays and grabbed one of the boxes. I kind of picked them up and manually weighed them to find the heaviest and accidentally got him. Not complaining one bit since the chase one has laserbeak while the regular one didn’t.
