Interesting. When did Karl Marx do that? I mostly remember learning about Chairman Mao and Joseph Stalin.

Marx was a communist and believed in a even distribution of wealth for everyone… Except the politicians, of course. Animal farm is a great read for more mature audiences looking for deeper conversation about it.

I was forced to read that in school and it makes sense on why communism doesn’t work too well.
Plus the USSR fell after we out bought them in our military advances during the Cold War.

I don’t think it’s fair that everyone gets equal pay and are told what rules to live by, what clothes to wear, etc, and yet the politicians or leaders get all of the wealth.

Ah, I see now. Thank you for the clarification. Interesting book; I just looked it up. However I kind of want to read George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984) first.

Me neither. Also, since I only learned about other dictators’ versions of communism (and I never read the communist manifesto), I thought that Karl Marx’s idea of communism wasn’t the same as Mao and Stalin’s versions of it.
