Wall slide issue with flip behaviour

I’m trying to create a wall slide/jump system inspired by hollow knight, and everything is going pretty well so far. except, when sliding on a wall, the player isn’t supposed to be able to flip the sprite with A/D, but it happens anyway. Am i doing something wrong here?

yeah thanks! I actually looked at that a bit to try and fix my problem, and all though i built the logic from scratch (just for practice) I was basically trying to see if I could make your system without looking at it. it’s a really nice example, It’s polished enough to look like a finished game.
