Yes, Flowlab is a game-making platform.
It is 100% used for things other than platformers, thatā€™s just false.
Flowlab is very fun.

Basically, flowlab is a tool that allows you to create games (platformers, top down, literally anything that can be done in 2d). Games are created using things called Behaviors. You link these behaviors together to create your game, itā€™s a very cool visual element that allows people to easily pick up on how to use the site.

You are able to change objects physics and are able to create sprites in the flowlab sprite editor. The community is a great way to have you questions answered, so if you even need help feel free to ask.

flow: i tried making survival and it turned kinda good! So when thorn doesnā€™t know i can make it for him if i can. If i also canā€™t do, i can ask you. But wait, i havenā€™t made multiplayer before and i can make the sprites. Sorry for the message so long. gtg
