Okay, I’ve been feeling really burnt out lately. Like, no motivation at all to work on this game. I’ve been staring at all the things that I don’t really like about the game that I would like to remove but the one I want to remove the most is something that has been with the game since the start. The guns.
I’ve never really liked the guns, especially since I am planning so many weapons for this game. But really, have you guys noticed how I’m trying to make movement another form for damaging enemies? Sure it might be because I’m in some sort of Pizza Tower phase but ever since I made the gun system for this game I knew that it was gonna be a pain later in the future. As a young wise man said to me in a DM;
"youre getting burnt out again, continue to take a break, maybe consider major reworks, most games that became indie stars took a game who wasnt working out and reworked it into soemthing great, just look at deadcells, hollow knight, etc.
otherwise just keep taking a break untill you no longer feel burnt out"

Noticed how he said “maybe consider major reworks”? Well, now I am. I am going to try removing the guns and making the movement the main form of damage in this game. It may make it more fun, it may not. Which is why I created a backup copy in case anything goes wrong.
Anyway, ever since I had the thought of removing the guns in ANIMOSITY, I am very excited to work on the game again.

Like the Rayman origins dash attack? (spins shortly but is invisible for the short amount of time he does so, he doesn’t have to spin)

Well, not like that.
Maybe think of something similar to Antonblast (not in terms of the dash attack but in terms of gameplay)
Left click will be the new punch button, while right click might be a kick
