Hey,does anybody know if Xbox and PlayStation accept .apk files?

.apk files will only run on Android devices. There are a few Android based game consoles, with the OUYA being the most well known.

The problem with trying to get a game on one of the three major consoles (xbone, ps4, wiiU) isn’t really technical. There are two major hurdles:

  1. You have to become a licensed developer, which basically involves proving that you have an experienced development team and enough funding
  2. You have to purchase “dev kits” which are test versions of the consoles in question. The dev kits cost $10,000 to $20,000 each
