I have long forgotten about this game. Now I am heading back to it.
I have been using Flowlab since March 2017. Since then, I have been known as the guy who created Pixel Sports, Porky’s Nightmare, and Stealthy Ninja, and the guy who’s working on Robot Reboot and another game I am planning on finishing in the near future.
So what was that game that I mentioned in the above paragraph? It was a game I created back in July 2017 (I think), and it was a game I cared deeply about, yet I haven’t made acceptable progress in it. That game is titled “Superstar Team: Energy Boom”.
Superstar Team: Energy Boom is about 4 friends, Reddie, Pinky, Blue, and Greenie, who find out that their house has burnt to the crisp, and that it was arson. Now, they must chase the suspects down, who say that their actions was all based on a plan to “Feed the Overlord”. With the help of Energy Stars, the team must fight against the evil that threatens the world.
So why have I forgotten about this game, if I had cared deeply about it? Well, there are a couple of reasons. First, the success of Pixel Sports really made me want to work on that game more, which is why nearly no progress has been made on any of my other games, both the ones listed and the ones unlisted. Pixel Sports is planned to be my first game that I will export and sell outside of Flowlab. Progress with that game has been very quick and everyone is enjoying it. In fact, I plan to reach Full Version 1.0 hopefully before the end of 2020. Yet with Energy Boom, progress was slow, and some people preferred to play Pixel Sports over Energy Boom. Second, Energy Boom is sort of like a cross between Super Mario Bros and Flowlab-built Color Quest in terms of gameplay. The game felt “unoriginal”. I didn’t want to be known as the person who couldn’t come up with their own ideas, so I eventually stopped working on Energy Boom. This is the same reason why Porky’s Nightmare and Stealthy Ninja haven’t gotten any updates for months.
Recently, I decided I should return to the game and this time take it very seriously. I have talked about this game in the past, but I only said that this was a game that I was secretly working on. Well, now it’s no longer a secret. I am going to be working on this game alongside Pixel Sports. If a Pixel Sports update ever gets delayed, please note that it is because I am working very hard on an old game that I REALLY want to finish.
Currently, I won’t be giving out the link to the game (except for a select few people) because of how incomplete this game is. I would say it’s only 20% complete (yes, even after 3 years of it’s existance, but hey, Cuphead was announced back in 2013 and was only released in 2017).
