I like that my request for a more definitive sound/music editor was answered, but I could kill for a built in MIDI editor! It would allow maximum customization, allowing to import custom instruments and samples, or even use sounds and instruments built in to flowlab! Imagine if a spring sound fx was used for a sick beat or even a melody? What if you could customize your tracks on a level to where your music will have FLAWLESS transitions? Imagine being able to either make your tracks in the engine, or even import .mid files of their own? If you need a reference, I 100% recommend https://ultraabox.github.io/. Not only does it use .mid data, but the customization is so intricate that you can use .json files to store all of the data about a sequence, including the instruments, sound panning, instrument volume, and even the looping! All I’m saying is it would make composers really happy.
This is a really massive ask. It’d be great, but this is a massive ask.
just use beepbox.co
its the best midi thing that I have found
would an free account be able to use it for games?
Create a url for an mp3 file you want its practically free
but how do i do that?
You would need to find an mp3 to url converter (cloud covert I think doesn’t cover the case)
dang ok
https://ultraabox.github.io/ is just a better version of beepbox.
I know that, but its blocked for me sadly.
that should be impossible, since every little detail will change the url
I’m a big music guy, so the fact that theres no way to flawlessly loop a track on flowlab eats at me alot
well that doesn’t really matter since that’s just for saving the song I guess
changing the song won’t change the file so it should be fine (the song file for when you download it)
I just wish that the ‘loop’ feature actually made it sound like a loop instead of sounding like it’s poorly edited…
I think there should be support for the .ogg file format, which has support for seamless looping. It’s what a lot of games use.
