Ai searching for position

Making an Ai for a basketball game, it feels like raising a kid.
I’m trying to make the ai pathfind the ball if it’s not on the ground so he will go for it and attempt to steal it from the player that is jumping or shooting. How should i do this?

It’s simple.
Just attach a proximity to the ball scanning for ground objects. Attach a NOR logic gate to that, and attach a message to that. Have the message going to the ai, and in the ai turn on a switch that has the ai move towards the X of the ball.
