The issue is if you cut your finger off when cooking you wouldn’t realize, you wouldn’t know how to left and right click on a mouse, etc.

Literally anything could happen. A heart attack, organ failure, or even deep cuts that cause bleeding. If you didn’t feel pain, you would surely die from anything without realizing you were ever hurting.

I believe everyone has value in life and should preserve if as well as they can, so an early death because you forgot to stop shredding the cheese or had too many beans at 2 am sounds like a bad idea.
