update, im getting my vaccine on wendsay
3 days to live in fear
You getting pfizer?
(What are you thinking?! Pfizer is the only one recommended!)
ye
Pfizer made it, modernaās getting there, and JJ⦠is tryingā¦
I would rather have JJ, but yes.
Getting Pfizer.
ah yes, I put my name in my profile.
DinoDev-
Iām impressed and concerned.
11 months seems like a long wait time!
(of course I assume you meant May 22)
I got my first vaccine shot (Pfizer) on April 28th, getting the second dose in 3 days.
For those of you who are afraid of needles: the vaccine needle is HUGE and PAINFUL and REALLY SCARY!!!
⦠just kidding!!! The needle is tiny, itās literally the least painless medical procedure Iāve ever had in my life.
ADDITIONAL: not even kidding. It was less āpainfulā than getting my blood pressure checked, or having a doctor stick that spotlight thingy inside my ear. Less painful than putting a thermometer under my tongue.
Iāve been bitten by mosquitos that were bigger than that needle.
MORE ADDITIONALS: and I got my first shot 18 days ago. Iām still alive and well. And Iām an old man who could drop dead or break a hip at any moment if the wind blows in the wrong direction.
lmao
covid shot is a big fat musquito injecting good stuff
Was probably just a placebo affect, but after getting my first shot, I felt good. Really good. Not sure if it was just the relief of knowing that Iām finally partially protected against COVID, or if theyāre putting happy juice into the needlesā¦
But either way. I know some of you younger āfolkā donāt think you need the vaccine, and truth is that you probably donāt. Most of you could catch COVID and brush it off like a mild case of allergies. Thatās cool and all. But to act like itās less deadly than the common cold? No. Just, no. That is so wrong on so many levels. It has killed so many more people than the common cold does in any average year. Including many people that my friends and family knew and loved dearly.
Itās serious business. Itās essentially the common cold on steroids. If youāre young and healthy, it might not pose a threat to you. But I have a cousin with cancer, and other friends and family with other medical conditions that put them at high risk. My parents are old⦠if you think Iām old, keep in mind that my parents are about 25 years older than I am. Itās probably a miracle that theyāre even still alive, and I would prefer to keep them that way.
im gonna get one 100%
i live with my grandma and shes has so many medical problems,
this will help everyone, even if u are younga nd healthy, u can still spread it to others,
getting the vaccine and encourging other to get it aswell can help covid go away
HAHA
my bad. I did mean May 22nd lmao
Yeah, I wonāt be harmed much from getting COVID, if I had it. But, I can carry it for the same time any other person can carry it. Iām more afraid of spreading it than the affect on myself.
My 82 year old grandpa already has both of his shots, so do my parents.
My other grandparents are only getting it so they donāt have to wear a mask, not because they believe in the shot.
Since, theyāre āanti-maskersā and donāt believe in it. The only way they see out is by taking it. Since, CDC has it so you can now go anywhere without a mask on if you have both eligible vaccines.
Even after I get my second vaccine, Iām still going to wear a mask in most public places, because you can still technically carry a disease even if your own body is immune to it.
The state that I live in is actually going to start offering a ālotteryā for people who get the vaccines. People over 18 years old who get vaccinated have a chance to win a million dollars. People under 18 years old who get vaccinated have a chance to earn in-state college tuition scholarships.
I didnāt get vaccinated for that purpose, but I think itās a really cool idea! Anything that helps encourage people to get it.
And again, I must emphasize, the needle did not hurt at all. I barely even felt the shot. And I didnāt experience any side effects at all from it.
Some people say the second shot can be more potent⦠I can post again here next week after May 19th to let you all know if I feel like Iām dying or not. But Iām pretty sure Iāll be fine.
EDIT: Okay, oops, sorry. I did experience one side effect. My arm hurt the next day. But it wasnāt āpainfulā painful. It was the kind of pain you feel after lifting too many weights at the gym.
Forgot to mention that Iād like to be traveling to Europe here soon, and a lot of places are requiring vaccines now.
