you need to work on shading a bit

Get a shading tool or literally just use the tip of a tissue

also you should draw in small circular patterns that way you cant see lines

He’s probably talking about the grainy look on the darker shading.
Which I personally don’t mind as I usually do the same thing in my own sketches. I find it rather unique when the shading lines are going all the same direction cause it really does give it that sketch look.
