Major

Things I completed today:

  • Drew the water block.
  • Made the level design for the Water kingdom.
  • Finished the Metal Kingdom’s cave system.
  • Started the mountains.
  • Coded the alert object. (So simple yet so effective.)

Overall, this was a small Major Update (Mostly because it’s only for the first half of the day), but a very essential one. The Alert object was easy to code, I cannot believe I used to use an object for EACH alert! I have Learned much since my first games. Hopefully, this game will get at least 10th place, I have put many hours of work into it.
I hope to start the Earth Kingdom Desert soon. I will make the Firey kingdom after the Earth. That is where the player will fight the final boss; The Emperor. I need to conserve objects, as I have only 17 remaining!

Anyway, since I completed more than five things this morning, it is a major update and the thirteen users will be tagged. (So many, thank you for the support!)

Minor

Things I completed today:

  • Fixed the alert object and moved the alerts to the player.
  • Made the first level laggy by making the final gigantic mountain of the metal kingdom
  • Finished the first level * started the second
  • Drew a sand block

Anyways, this was a minor update, mostly on the level design. I used a new design for the clouds. Instead of drawing an object, I made an object to draw with. It is 32x32 pixels and is 25% transparent.

The timer is another UI thing I added (I don’t have enough UI space, XD). It counts the time the player takes to beat the level using 0.1 seconds. I filled in the first level with the checkpoints and now will proceed to do the same with the second.

This is on the brink of minor, which some might wish to be pinged for. I will make a new poll for pings that will contain much more detail about the updates you sign up to be pinged for.

Things I completed today:

  • I fixed the barrier objects. (They only worked for a single level.)
  • Made the desert (Earth) kingdom.
  • Updated all of the collision bundles for the emit objects.

I had to do this update quickly due to other projects today. I completed the small part of the earth kingdom that the player has to pass through and the start of the second forest. The barrier object needed a bit of fixing because the coding only worked for a single level.

Things I completed today:

  • Made shaded the clouds of level 2.
  • With the level design comes the code, for the barriers
  • and the player (The alerts).
  • Made the last part of the Water kingdom (Diamond Falls).
  • Designed a few cavers behind the Diamond falls.

Today, I mostly completed a lot of level two. I am to finish the Water Kingdom’s small spike of land today…hopefully. I wrote this update now because I might not have time to finish…the watery land.

That is all for the level design today. I am spending most of today doing work and designing vehicles, so I don’t have much time.

Things I completed:

  • Made some more (The end) of the water kingdom.
  • Coded a new enemy
  • Fixed the enemy’s coding
  • Animated enemy 2
  • Created barrier 6 and the Fire Wall

I find this a lot of screenshots needed to show two sprite’s behaviors, XD. It didn’t take long though, seeing that I copied most of the code from the first enemy of the game.

Fire kingdom wall (So Far):

This was, again, a minor major update. I did a little level design and a LOT of code. As stated before, I copied most of enemy 1’s code for enemy 2 but enhanced the speed and fire rate. I loved making the animations for the enemy, for it was most satisfying and creepy. I tried making an HP bar with animations, but I realized that it just wouldn’t work, due to other animations playing.
…I need to write more. This is a major update. I need to write more, XD.
I am planning to make the FIRE KINGDOM next! It will have a BUNCH of new objects and enemies. Unfortunately, that is for later, I need to eat dinner.
